If you are travelling as part of a group and staying in a homestay, you will normally be collected at the airport by a private coach pre-booked by CES Leeds.
CES staff do not attend the airport in person. However, we stay in close contact with the coach company and driver to coordinate your arrival, ensuring your group can easily find the correct coach. Your group leader will receive the coach information and the driver’s contact number before travelling.
The journey from Manchester Airport to Leeds takes around 1.5 hours,
and the journey from Leeds Bradford Airport to central Leeds is approximately 45 minutes.
The coach will bring your group directly to CES Leeds main school, where you will be met by CES staff.
You will enter the school and take part in an induction with a CES Staff, during which you will receive all the information and materials you need, including ID badges and bus passes.
After the induction, your homestay hosts will come to collect you and take you to your accommodation.
If you are staying in the Trinity University residence, your coach will take you directly to the university.
You will complete your induction on-site with a teacher upon arrival.
Hosts will normally:
Pick students up on arrival
Drop students off on departure
If a host is unable to provide transport, we will arrange a taxi.
The host pays for the taxi, never the student.
If you are staying in a homestay, your host family will bring you to the main school on the day of departure.
A private coach will then take your group to the airport.
We normally leave:
4.5 hours before the flight for Manchester Airport
3.5 hours before the flight for Leeds Bradford Airport
These timings ensure a smooth check-in and security process.
If you are staying in the Trinity University residence, your coach will collect you directly from the residence and take you to the airport.
Coaches can stop:
Directly outside CES Leeds on Park Place,
For larger groups or multiple coaches, CES will advise the most suitable stopping point in advance.
